Junior NBAD Tournament Rules
1. Junior NBAD event shall take place on Monday starting any time after 1 PM.
2. Fishing hours shall be limited to two hours excluding games & activities.
3. Awards shall be presented on either Monday or Tuesday night before NBAD awards.
4. A completed form is required before Junior NBAD anglers will be allowed to participate in the derby.
5. The age categories are as follows: 2-5, 6-12 and 13-17 years old.
6. In each age category, 1st – 3rd place winners will receive a trophy/medal and there will be a total of nine trophies/medals, plus one sportsmanship trophy/medal with $1,000 scholarship certification/agreement.
7. $1,000 scholarship shall be awarded only in age category of 13-17 years old.
8. $1,000 scholarship can be awarded only two times to the same winner.
9. Junior NBAD anglers are only permitted to fish in the designated areas, as instructed by the Jr. NBAD Chairperson.
10 Parents of anglers are responsibility to provide the artificial or live bait as worms, minnows, and crickets for JRNAD tournament.
11. Do NOT cast your lines until the starting time and reel in the lines at ending time as instructed by the Jr. NBAD chairperson.
12. Anglers can catch any number offish, regardless of size or weight but if measure offish doesn’t meet state regulation then it must be released immediately after the measure & weight.
13. Parents of anglers younger than seven can help their child cast their bait into the water and assist in the reeling in the hook.
14. Anglers are encouraged to be spaced out along the fishing areas.
15. Encourage anglers to do everything themselves without assistance as much as possible.
16. One fishing pole per angler.
17. For safety reasons, the prizes should not include hooks or any sharp items.
18. In any event of a tie, refer to the number offish caught. If the number offish caught is also a tie, refer to the age of the angler. The oldest angler shall be awarded.
